JMG Cruise released the following statement last night vowing to support customers and an intention to bring the hugely popular and important no fly cruise offering back to Ireland. We’re with you JMG! 💚
AFFECTED? If you’ve been affected then please link in with the agent that you booked your cruise with and not JMG directly but hopefully this statement offers you some reassurance! Please be patient.
STATEMENT IN FULL:
JMG Travel is sorry to inform you that one of our trade partners "Cruise & Maritime Voyages" was placed into administration in the UK today.
Please note that all cruise bookings with Cruise & Maritime, that have not taken place are now cancelled.
We have worked with Cruise & Maritime for the past four years and have had an excellent working relationship with the company. The company had been going from strength to strength but unfortunately were brought to a standstill by the negative effects of Covid-19 which significantly impacted the cruise industry. While Cruise & Maritime Voyages reported no cases of Covid-19 onboard its small to medium sized ships, the effects of the pandemic were nonetheless detrimental to the company.
Our thoughts at this time are with the directors and staff at Cruise & Maritime and we wish them well at this very difficult time.
JMG Travel would like to reassure its cruise customers that they will not be adversely affected by the collapse of Cruise & Maritime. JMG Travel will continue to trade as normal and will be making contact with all affected passengers in due course to arrange refunds.
The No-Fly cruise product has been a huge success over the last four years for JMG Cruise and with this in mind it is our intention to bring cruising from home back to the Irish market in the very near future.
Due to Covid-19 we are still working with a reduced staff and we ask that any inquiries are directed by email. We will be doing our utmost to respond to all queries as quickly as possible.
We would like to thank you for your continued cooperation at this time.
