CRUISING’S NOT FOR KIDS? SOMEONE SHOULD TELL THE CRUISE LINES THEN -CRUISING IS FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY
We often get asked... Is cruising is for children? Will they be bored on board? Will there be anything for them to do? Well, we took some time out on our tour of MSC Cruises Meraviglia in Belfast Harbour last week to see what was on offer!
MSC are very strong when it comes to family. Children of all ages are welcome on board and whether your child is 6 months, 6 years or 16 years there is plenty for them to do onboard! There are kids clubs for all ages! There is a babies club for those up to the age of two and importantly children of that age cruise for free! Not only that MSC offer things such as baby laundry services, babycare services and a host of entertainment sessions in association with Chicco!
There are separate area for different age groups with tons of activities suited to the group from arts & crafts to group games to dance classes. There is a partnership with LEGO for children 3-11 with LEGO themed rooms to enjoy. Parents can join in too or leave their children to it! There are dedicated family activities such as cookery classes, talent shows, family discos and costume parades!
Older children will have access to Xbox’s, PlayStation and Nintendo Wii, sports facilities and tournaments including dodgeball, dance contests and events such as white parties, flash mobs, discos, movie showings and much much more!
There are dedicated children’s menus, restaurant areas and family excursions! There is so much, so much support to the family to ensure that every little aspect is looked after so that you can all enjoy and make the most of the holiday!
Don’t forget all the other aspects outside of the clubs... on Meraviglia we’re talking F1 simulators, 4D cinemas, sportsplex, water parks, rope bridges, pools galore, arcades, bowling alleys... Cirque Du Soleil of course, theatre performances ... oh and then you have to visit some ports with all the wonderful things your itinerary has in store!! We mean, where are you all going to find the time??
One thing we can suggest on MSC Cruises... if you think the kids will want to enjoy the simulators etc in the amusement area then buy the fun pass! Book it in advance of your cruise for €100 and you’ll get €80 value free so that’s €180 worth of activities for all the family to avail of!
Don’t forget if your child is up to the age of 2 then they are free. Children up the age of 13 are a nominal fee with even older child fares heavily reduced! It leads to some great family prices with a host of stateroom options to accommodate... a superfamily plus stateroom holds 10 guests!!
To go back to the original question... is cruising for kids? You better believe it!! Cruising is for everyone! 😍 #ChooseCruise
