PRINCESS CRUISES 2020 LAUNCH EVENT THIS WEEK REVEALS BIGGEST EVER EUROPEAN PRESENCE!

There was a packed & excitable bunch of travel professionals, journalists and more in Ham Yard Hotel Piccadilly on Wednesday night anxiously waiting to hear all the latest news from Princess Cruises! They were not disappointed!

There was no Philip Schofield this time (although he did make a brief video appearance) but Jenni Falconer, TV, Radio and Travel reporter was on hand to deliver the latest news. We even had an interview with the hilarious TV chef Rosemary Shrager about her love of cruise (and surprisingly table tennis which led to a challenge match with Tony Roberts Vice President of Princess Cruises UK & Europe!!)

The highlights though were of course about Princess Cruise's plans for 2020. Now while there was no announcement on future Irish deployments...YET...there was lots of other exciting news! In 2020 Princess Cruises will have their largest ever European presence with 5 ships sailing across Europe! Not just any 5 ships either but their newest ships with the brand new Sky Princess (2019) and the brand new Enchanted Princess (2020) included alongside the beautiful Regal Princess, Island Princess and our favourite Princess ship due to her home porting in Dublin in 2019...Crown Princess!

Sky Princess will cruise from Copenhagen to Scandinavia & Russia from April to September. If you'd like to cruise on Enchanted then you can cruise out of the wonderful Rome, Barcelona or Athens across the Mediterranean! Regal, Crown & Island will be sailing primarily out of Southampton but with some interesting itineraries...what about 17 nights Mediterranean voyage taking in Lisbon, Santorini, Mykonos & Kusadasi? Or perhaps you'd prefer to cruise Southampton to New York over 15 nights via Northern Europe & Iceland?

2020 will be the biggest season for Princess in Alaska with 130 different voyages across any of 8 ships meaning 350,000 passengers will enjoy this bucket list location with Princess...the world's leading cruise line in Alaska. There will also be a huge focus on Japan sailing from either Tokyo or Kobe with 65 voyages on Diamond Princess as well as 16 voyages taking in Canada & New England on Sky or Ocean Medallion enabled Caribbean Princess!

There was final good news for the UK market in particular with the announcement that Enchanted Princess will have her naming ceremony in Southampton in 2020...7 years after Royal Princess was named there. Who knows we may even be lucky enough to be there and cover it for you... wink wink!!

As soon as we hear any news on future sailings from Ireland you'll be the 1st to know (we're hopeful...!!) but you can book 2020 cruises from 8th November with deposits from €58pp!!

Of course you don't have to wait until 2020 with Princess currently offering free balcony upgrades (and even free mini-suite upgrades on some sailings), reduced 3rd and 4th person fares from €114pp which is brilliant for families and a reduced deposit of €58pp but only until 31st October! If that doesn't do it for you then we know there's a new promotion on 1st November which may just excite you more....watch this space for even more reasons to take a Princess Cruise...and as they put it...'Come Back New'! #Princess2020
