CELEBRITY, PRINCESS AND IRELAND'S ATLANTIC TRAVEL THE WINNERS AT RECENT AWARDS CEREMONIES!

While we are a couple of months away from the big awards ceremonies in Irish travel there has been some major awards ceremonies in the UK which we can use as an indication of which cruise lines are at the top of their game! Whats more an Irish Travel Agent has also won big!!

Cruise International Awards 2017

These awards are voted for by the readers and therefore cruisers of the biggest cruise publication in the UK. The big winners this year were Princess Cruises taking home 3 awards including Best Cruise Line and also interestingly Best for First Time Cruisers! Princess have been trying to raise their profile in the Irish market and there are a lot of reasons to consider Princess for your next cruise, particularly for cruising to areas like Alaska. Other awards of note? Norwegian Cruise Line again picking up best entertainment and Azamara best boutique cruise line.

Travel Trade Gazette (TTG) Awards 2017

Another major awards ceremony this week, these awards are voted by an incredibly experienced judging panel for some awards with travel agents themselves voting for other awards. The big winners receiving their awards from Rob Brydon? Celebrity Cruises absolutely cleaned up with no less than 4 awards including 'Luxury/Specialist Cruise Line of the Year', 'Ocean Cruise Line of the Year', and 'Travel Company of the Year'! They certainly are very popular in the Irish market and of course they will home port from Dublin for a mini season in 2018 - we actually cannot wait!!

Royal Caribbeans £20,000 Makeover Winners are Irish

Also revealed at the TTG awards was the winner of Royal Caribbeans £20,000 store makeover competition. This competition has been running for a while now and 5 agents from across the UK & Ireland had been shortlisted to receive a prize of £20,000 with which to transform their store. Such a sum of money is absolutely huge to an independent travel agency and it's been revealed that Atlantic Travel Worldchoice of Letterkenny were the winners!!

The proposal was for a 5 zone Royal Caribbean themed travel agent so we can't wait to see what Emma McHugh and the team at Atlantic come up with! A huge congratulations to all at Atlantic, fantastic news!!
