Of course going away as a group of friends or family is a wonderful thing and with so many different things to do on board there's always something to keep everyone entertained! The only problem really is getting things booked in the first place especially where there is an odd number of passengers, ie, 3 instead of 4!
With the availability of solo cabins limited and then the sometimes prohibitive cost even if you do manage to find one (often twice the per person fare!) it can be a real problem! But did you know you can often have a 3rd or indeed 4th person stay in the cabin and there is fantastic value to be had if you split the saving across the group!
Now, of course this depends how much you get on with the person and the size of the cabin but before ruling it out think about how much time you actually spend in the cabin? Again, it depends on the those involved but often you'll find they are just places for sleeping and changing! Sleeping arrangements are usually pull down beds or sofa beds, all of which will be put away during the day so no problem there.
Cruise lines often have promotions on for the 3rd & 4th time and this is true right now! P&O Cruises for example are offering a great rate for those extra passengers - just £199 for an adult or £99 for a child (2-16 years). Of course that 3rd & 4th guest gets all the same dining and entertainment as everyone else in the group offering incredible value!
Even better Princess Cruises are offering 3rd & 4th guests for just €114 on selected Caribbean sailings from November 17 to April 18 onboard the new Ocean Medallion enabled Regal Princess ! Yes, that's €114!!!
We've even see cruise lines offer 3rd & 4th guests for free in the past so if you want to save a serious amount of money on your next holiday then start considering it... maybe just pack some earplugs for the snoring....we're kidding, we're kidding... it is truly worth considering and spending the money saved on treating yourself to those little extras!
