It's MSC Cruises weekend here at The Cruise Room and while we curse the typical Irish bank holiday weather our mind wanders to the new MSC ships that 'follow the sun' - introducing MSC Seaside and Seaview!
So what's special about these ships? Well, the focus is very much on allowing you to enjoy the sunshine and the wonder of the sea, bringing them both closer as you cruise around the Mediterranean (Msc Seaview) or Jamaica & Bahamas (Seaside) in their inaugural seasons! With that in mind the design of the ships take some inspiration from a beach condo, particularly noticeable at the back of the ship as the balconies overlook a stunning South Beach pool area complete with 2 panoramic lifts.
These ships have the highest outside to inside ratio of any large ship which sounds impressive... but what it actually means is that you've more outside space than ever before and your 360 degree promenade is now a place where you'll spend even more time; imagining eating lunch in the open air looking out to sea, or enjoying a cocktail or a fruit juice as the sun beats down or just take your usual walk around the promenade soaking up the atmosphere. This time however you’ll not feel closed in and looking at large swathes of white paint as can be the case on some ships…here you’ll be passing restaurants, open air bars or shopping boutiques as you walk along this light filled area, then perhaps stop for a swim or relax on a lounger….all without leaving the promenade.
Then there’s the 2 deck atrium glass walled atrium which will become a place not only for amazing ocean views but also a live entertainment hub. The panorama pool will also be a place for taking in those sea views by day and movies under the stars at night. The focus here really is on the natural beauty of the world around us rather than whats inside the ship. But don’t get us wrong, you can expect all we know and enjoy about MSC there too, from the Aurea Spa to the State of the Art Gym, restaurants, bars, lounges, bowling alleys, kids clubs not to mention the waterparks and with cabins on higher decks, more balcony cabins then ever before!
You always hear “this ship is unlike any other” or “there’s nothing like this”…. and we have the same reaction as all of you, however in this case, and as you see from the concept pictures, it really is true…
Seaside is all set to cruise from December 17 and Seaview launches in 2018 but booking is already open….contact your agent or us for more information.
